Snacking brand The British Snack Co. has raised over £150,000 from almost 200 investors on the Seedrs crowdfunding platform. The brand will put the funds towards growing the sales channels, gaining new customers and relaunching its Awfully Posh pork scratching range. The business previously raised more than £200,000 from crowdfunding in 2021 to support it through the pandemic.

Kellogg’s has expanded its Special K portfolio with the launch of three new cereal products: Oat Crunch Honey, High Protein and Zero. Special K Oat Crunch Honey combines multigrain honey-flavored flakes with crispy vanilla-oat clusters. Special K High Protein comes in a chocolate almond flavor and contains 20 grams of protein per serving. It also offers a good source of fiber and contains seven vitamins and minerals. Kellogg’s Special K Zero is made of cinnamon flavored cereal puffs, a first-of-its-kind food format for the brand. The cereal contains zero grams of sugar and 18 grams of plant-based protein, as well as being keto-friendly. The new products are now available at retailers across the U.S.

Protein snack brand IWON Organics has unveiled its new ready-to-eat popcorn with pea protein. Each serving contains five grams of plant-based protein and is available in flavors like sweet and salty, white cheddar, and white truffle and sea salt. The popcorn is also made with organic coconut oil as part of the brand’s transition away from the use of seed oils by early next year.
