BFY Snack Maker Outstanding Foods Closes $5M Funding Round

The Los Angeles-based maker of plant-based PigOut Pigless Pork Rinds, launched earlier this year, welcomed L.A. Laker JaVale McGee to its roster of celebrity investors as it closed a $5 million funding round. In addition to financing new product introductions, the financing round will support R&D, nationwide marketing, retail expansion, and team development. On a mission to “make plant-based foods tasty as hell,” the company uses only wholesome 100 percent plant-based ingredients, including protein, that are free from gluten, soy, GMOs, trans fats, and cholesterol.
