Cinnabon Debuts BonBites With Twitter-Based Contest, Movie Tie-In

Cinnamon-roll bakery chain Cinnabon has launched a marketing campaign for its new bite-sized BonBites treat that includes a social media contest and a promotional tie-in with the new animated movie “Storks.” The company says the introduction of the tiny desserts follows a growing trend toward bite-sized snacks: Technomic reports that 34 percent of consumers are more likely to order a dessert if a mini-portioned option is available. The marketing campaign involves submission of baby pictures online that will earn fans a coupon for the purchase of the 100-calories BonBites and a chance to win a trip to Warner Bros. studios.
