CJ CheilJedang’s Upcycled Chips Made Available In South Korean Convenience Stores

May 1, 2023: 12:00 AM EST
CJ CheilJedang has expanded distribution of its upcycled Excycle Basak Chips in South Korean convenience stores. The chips are made with by-products from CJ CheilJedang’s food manufacturing processes, including broken rice and soybean curds. Excycle Basak Chips come in three flavours, Original, Hot & Spicy and Truffle, and each 45g pack contains 7g of protein and 4g of fiber. The company plans to introduce the chips to supermarkets and department stores across South Korea in 2023 and potentially export to other countries in the near future.
