Hsu Fu Chi To Establish Healthy Snack Research Center

Snack manufacturer Hsu Fu Chi has partnered with South China University of Technology to establish the country's first joint research centre for healthy snacks. The center will focus on innovations in raw materials, technology and nutrition. Hsu Fu Chi has spent around $29m annually researching consumer preferences, ingredients and formulas, and production and nutrition to develop dozens of healthy snacks including sugar-free sachima and dark chocolate. The company will also launch an innovation strategy and a fund to encourage its workers to create breakthroughs in food research and development.
