Japanese Snack Company Calbee Buys Two More Advanced Dehydration Machines

June 29, 2020: 12:00 AM EST
Vancouver, Canada-based EnWave Corporation said it is selling two more 10kW Radiant Energy Vacuum (REV) dehydration machines to Calbee, Inc., a 70-year-old Japanese snack manufacturing company. EnWave said the two additional REV machines will significantly expand Calbee's commercial manufacturing capacity to launch its new line of REV-based snack products. Calbee has developed several "better-for-you" snacks using REV technology and plans to intensify commercial efforts throughout 2020, focusing on premium healthful fruit and vegetable products. According to EnWave, REV technology is a dehydration platform for food and cannabis companies that offers a faster and cheaper solution than freeze drying.[Image Credit: © EnWave Corporation]
