 The Seattle, Wash.-based maker of baking, pancake, and waffle mixes introduced the Energizing Oat Bites Mix in two varieties: chocolate chip oat and cinnamon oat. The new mixes, which require no baking, are made with eight grams of plant-based protein per serving, whole grain oats, flaxseed, and chia. Ingredients are mixed at home with nut butter, honey, and water, rolled into balls, then chilled until firm. The company says the snacks derive more than half of their calories from healthy fats, complex carbs, and protein.
