Large Majority Of Indians Prefer Healthy Snacks, Especially Almonds

July 21, 2020: 12:00 AM EST
The March survey by market researcher IPSOS found that nine of ten Indian consumers choose “mindful and healthy” snacks such as almonds or fruits, whether or not they identify themselves as vegetarians. Seventy-two percent of the survey participants mentioned that they consumed almonds (regular/often/sometime) because of the perceived health benefits. The survey also found that women in India are more worried about nutrition needs (63 percent) than men (53 percent).[Image Credit: © Steve Buissinne from Pixabay]
