Mead Johnson Acquires Production Capabilities From Australia’s Bega Cheese

February 27, 2017: 12:00 AM EST
Pediatric nutrition company Mead Johnson (MJ) will acquire spray-drying and finishing capabilities in Australia from Bega Cheese Limited, a certified ingredient supplier for MJ products since 2009. The acquisition establishes a strategic beachhead that will allow further expansion in China “by creating both additional capacity and the ability to adapt to a changing regulatory environment.” The deal is expected to close in the 2nd quarter of 2017.
