Pandemic Shifts Irish Snack Company To Online Marketing, With Good Results

June 27, 2020: 12:00 AM EST
Northern Ireland’s Noisy Snacks says it has doubled its business in Great Britain over the past three months because of the coronavirus lockdown. The Ballygowan-based company pivoted to online sales and in-home snacking as its established outlets in bars and cocktail lounges were shuttered. Noisy Snacks offers a range of “boldly flavored” snacks whose packaging “makes lots of noise,” the company says. Unlike most snack companies, it uses eight percent flavoring, doubling “the taste, the flavor and the fun.” The secret ingredient is noise, “because every time a customer shakes a Noisy Snack pack, the extra flavors at the bottom of the bag are activated.” The snacks are flexitarian, vegan, gluten-free, and high in fiber and protein. Flavors include red curry and coconut, Jamaican jerky, pickled onion, and beef brisket.[Image Credit: © Noisy Snacks Ltd]
