January 19, 2022: 12:00 AM EST
Liven’s European Tex Mex and snacking business, based in Spain, has been acquired by Paulig. The deal is expected to strengthen the two companies’ position to grow the Tex Mex and snacking categories in Western Europe. Both companies are family-owned. Paulig’s products are available in 70 countries. Liven is a Catalan company that manufactures snacks, microwave popcorn, tortillas and tex-mex products, for itself and private labels. Its specialty snacks are made from corn, vegetables, grains and pulses.
