Pie-Sharing Program Benefits The Community, And The Pie Baker

An innovative pie-baking entrepreneur with a soft spot in her heart for her fellow man has launched a program that encourages customers to share pie with strangers. The “Pie-It-Forward” initiative is also clever marketing, of course, because customers not only buy pie for themselves, they buy one-slice coupons that are displayed in the Detroit, Mich., bakery (Sister Pie, left)and can be grabbed by anyone.
