Room For Growth For Pasta Manufacturers Globally

November 14, 2016: 12:00 AM EST
Though the global market for pasta is saturated – volume sales growth has averaged one percent over five years – there is room for expansion, according to Euromonitor. Europe is especially closed to volume sales growth, but opportunities exist in the Middle East and Africa, some areas of the Asia Pacific region, as well as Turkey, Iran and Egypt – dubbed “particularly appealing markets” by Euromonitor. The researcher advises manufacturers to seek “value growth” in saturated countries such as Italy, and “volume growth” in unsaturated markets such as Iran, Turkey, Egypt and Brazil.
