Think Tank Urges India's Health Ministry to Define 'Healthy Foods'

The Indian-based think tank Nutrition Advocacy for Public Interest (NAPi) wrote a letter to India’s Union healthy ministry, requesting the introduction of a bill to define “healthy foods”. The letter emphasized concerns that many packaged snacks, including those marketed as healthier choices, are classified as ultra-processed foods, which are linked to the increasing prevalence of lifestyle diseases in India.
