True Fruit Abandons Heat Pasteurization

June 18, 2017: 12:00 AM EST
Fruit cup producer True Fruit is now using high pressure processing technology instead of the traditional heat pasteurization process that required the use of artificial preservatives, colors and flavors in making its grapefruit fruit cups. The new technology preserves the flavor of the grapefruit cups as well as the nutrients. It also means the product is now able to gain non-GMO certification, “which is critically important to consumers." True Fruit products are available in 7 oz. and 64 oz. packages in most major U.S. and Canadian markets. [Image Credit: © true fruit ]
