U.K. Food Start-up Acquires Indian Snack Manufacturer

Vibrant Foods has acquired Cofresh Snack Foods (CSF), a manufacturer of Indian and healthy snacks. Established this year by Exponent Private Equity, Vibrant Foods offers pulses, spices, flour, and Indian ingredients and snacks under TRS Foods and East End Foods brands. CSF will join Vibrant’s portfolio of brands seeking to establish the new company as a producer and distributor of South Asian ethnic foods in the U.K. and across continental Europe. CSF comprises two key brands; Cofresh, an Indian snack brand in the U.K., and Eat Real, a free-from snacking brand in the U.K., whose flagship products include lentil, hummus and quinoa chips.
