U.K. Snack Maker Boundless Secures $1.3M In Funding

The three-year-old Bristol-based healthy snacks company says the £1 million ($1.3 million) investment it received from current investors and a syndicate of wealthy individuals will be used to expand further into Europe and the Middle East and launch new products. Boundless nuts and seeds are not roasted. They are instead soaked in water before baking. The soaking “activates” germination (seed sprouting), releasing enzymes and nutrients that would be used for the growing process. It also washes away the bitter-tasting phytic acid layer that hinders digestion. Boundless supplies 3,000 stores in Britain as well as nine international markets, including Hong Kong and Taiwan.[Image Credit: © weareboundless]
